Clinton? Bush!

The “popular” Bill Clinton never got half the vote in an election. Bush looks like he will.

So why do people believe that Clinton was popular and Bush divisive?

Bush Wins

Bush wins.
Thanks be to God.

Dear Libertine Republican Friend,

Look at the gay marriage vote. It carried in state after state. In a difficult election, evangelicals won the race for Bush. Bush ran behind our issues. Our states by themselves are enough to win a presidential election. Hispanic votes will trend Republican over this issue and abortion.

It is time to drop your odd sex views in politics (you are free to keep them in private) and join us in advancing libertarian ideas. Let’s have small government that reinforces sexual morals.

We will keep you legal, if you will agree to keep your odd views to yourself. Isn’t that freedom?

Your libertarian and traditional Republican friend,

JMNR

Handy!

Look boys and girls! You can print out this post and take it with you to the polls! Use it to convince friends who cannot read an entire normal overly long Reynolds post!

Card Size Guide for Voting:

I will vote for Bush because:
1. He wants to bring liberty to Iraq. This is difficult, but if his plan works, terrorism will end forever. Kerry will have a summit which will also last forever.
2. He supports a culture of life. Bush wants to save the lives of the unborn and end experimentation on humans.
3. Bush would vote for your states Defense of Marriage Act.

I will not vote for Kerry because:
1. The Kerry plan for Iraq? Well, we are still waiting. Kerry will talk to many, many Western nations about terrorism. Terrorists don’t mind talk.
2. He supports abortion and voted against the Defense of Marriage Act.
3. Michael More and his friends will be empowered.

Here we go. . .

I am not a political expert. I don’t play one on television.

The fun of a blog is that you get to opine. I think Bush will win. I have listed the states. Nothing in the news today changes my mind. For the good of our nation, I hope he wins. Has this hope slanted my judgment on the winner? I don’t think so for four reasons:

1. Bush leads or is tied in almost all the major polls (all but a weird Fox poll). As last time showed, this does not mean Bush will win, but it is a good sign. Republicans have been underpolling in the last few elections. No one is quite sure why. Democrats on television sound much, much less confident than they did in 2000. Turn out will be big on both sides, but Democrats are counting on the groups least likely to turn out. Everyone will improve, but our groups are likely to improve the most when it comes to turnout.
2. Republicans in 2000 at this point were starting to make “loser noises.” I have heard very little of that talk today. All the “noise” seems to be positive, but close.
3. Kerry is counting on the voters of Ohio, Iowa, and Minnesota saving his campaign. These do not seem like friendly states to me for a liberal Senator from New England. Kerry has not even wrapped up New Hampshire.
4. I refuse to believe that Iraq is going to doom the President. Gay marriage votes my save him. How many people will vote to end gay marriage and vote for Kerry? It cannot be that big a group.

Of course, if I am wrong I have to buy Dr. Dave Peters, our resident Democrat, dinner. That will be fun, since he is a great guy, but I fear for our nation. I don’t think I am wrong.
