Using the phrase “bunker mentality” to describe the White House is bad news for a Republican candidate. This reference by Mike Huckabee was in a written paper so it cannot be claimed that it was a “throw away” reference.
Since the original “bunker” was Hitler’s, the use was grossly unwise for Huckabee in reference to a President who is still supported by the bulk of Republican voters.
Does he think we are losing the War in Iraq?
Granted that the President made mistakes (as did Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Truman as war time leaders) and that Iraq has been tougher than many believed it would be . . . .does Huckabee believe that we are NOT winning the War at this point?
