FOXNews.com - Mike Wallace Says Iranian President an ‘Impressive Fellow’ - Iran
Let’s be clear:
We face a foe in ideological and radical Islam determined to destroy Israel and the US. People who buy this ideology hate us, have the support of millions of folk, and have money. One important nation, Iran, is now controlled by folk who think killing Jews is a good thing.
The President of Iran is such a man. Here is what a leading US “reporter” had to say in a Fox news report.
My comments are in italics within the story:
Veteran CBS journalist Mike Wallace described current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as an “impressive fellow” following their meeting Tuesday in Tehran.
And what is the point in praising such a man? Tyrants already have enough flaks to sooth their egos . . . or is it a shock that an evil man is interesting? Is Wallace that shallow a thinker? Satan, after all, would likely give a gripping interview. “I found the Devil really trying to come to grips with his desire to be god. He is really an angel of light in his own way,” Wallace commented after his interview with the Prince of Darkness.)
We are told that Napoleon was intriguing to even his foes, but what is the use in telling the little dictator while he is still a threat? It is wisest to be fascinated after he has no power to harm . . . Wellington defeated Napoleon and then imitated him in Paris. If Wallace will help remove this vile man from office, he can chat with him all he wishes or even use his hair cream.
“You’ll find him an interesting man,” the 88-year-old Wallace said. “I expected more of a firebrand. I don’t think he has the slightest doubt about how he feels … about the American administration and the Zionist state. He comes across as more rational than I had expected.”
Great Mr. Wallace! Use his anti-Semite code language for the state of Israel! That will teach him a lesson. (”Mr. Stalin certainly feels that kulaks and other socially backward elements must be weeded out,” Mr. Wallace noted. Citizens of the Ukraine refused comment.)
We also learn from Wallace that the anti-Semite leader of Iran believes his own view and only sometimes rants when expressing them. (”Jack believes in what he is doing,” Wallace said of the Ripper, “at times he is a lonely man who tries to explain to the world what he is trying to say.”)
Wallace said he was surprised to find that the Iranian president was still a college professor who taught a graduate-level course.
This is the best line of the story. What college? What course? Wait . . . surely Wallace is not silly enough to think that being a college professor shields you from bad or irrational views? As a college professor, I mutter, I can assure Wallace that this is wrong!
Ahmadinejad has steadfastly refused to negotiate Iran’s nuclear policy with the United States and its Western allies. He also recently called for the destruction of Israel as the only solution to the current Middle East conflict.
Yes, indeed, but we already know all that. “Boring!” says Mr. Wallace. What if this killer also cares about the future of Mr. Wallace? Now that is good stuff!
Wallace said he nearly fell out of his chair when Ahmadinejad told him, “I hear this is your last interview.”
Wallace said he replied: “What do you think? Is it a good idea to retire?”
He said the Iranian president told him it was important to keep doing interesting things.
And so Wallace will keep doing interesting things, chatting up anti-Semite monsters and discovering evil is not always smelly and foul. . . sometimes it is dressed in a suit and gives charming interviews and is foul.
I have heard the Khan sat his horse well, Hitler was kind to his dog, and Richard III was sorry his nephews suffered. Perhaps Wallace can flog his lagging interest in life with discoveries of the good side to many historical monsters.
In the meantime, Americans should not worry about Iran! This evil man cares about the future career of Mike Wallace! He cannot be all bad! How charming! How revolting! How like our press!
